A man has raped his niece in Kapilbastu. On Friday night, the perpetrator raped his niece while he was taking her home on a motorcycle.
The 16-year-old niece (victim girl) had gone to Lohraula village of Vijayanagar rural municipality of Kapilbastu to watch a fair and cultural program. After attending the same program till the evening, her elder uncle asked his younger brother to drop her home.
According to the District Police Office, Kapilbastu, the niece who went home on a bike with her younger uncle, has lodged a complaint accusing her uncle of raping her.
Police said that a case was registered on Sunday and they have taken the accused uncle under control. In a statement given by the victim, she said that her uncle raped her by taking her to a river shore, telling her they need to change the route due to the road damage done by a tractor.
The victim has also said that her uncle stopped the bike saying that he was going to the toilet. Police said that further investigation will be carried out into the case.
