Locals block road to protest against the death of a pedestrian in Morang

Locals blocked the road for about an hour in protest against the incident of a road accident. A 75-year-old pedestrian Mayadevi Pradhan died at Gothgaon of Sundaraharaincha Municipality-7 under East-West Highway after being hit by a tipper (plate number P-1-02-001 Kha 8530) on April 14.
Police said that the accident took place due to high speed. They arrested 32-year-old Chundamani Bhandari, of Urlabari Municipality-3 in Morang. The road blocked by the locals was reopened after the police promised to take action against the negligent.
