Forty-four members of the Nepali Congress (NC) Bardiya working committee have resigned on April 22 alleging Muktinath Yadav, regional president of Bardiya Constituency No.1 of assaulting the acting chairman Mishrilal Yadav by hiring some youths on April 21.
The committee involved in the distribution and renewal of active membership for the 14th General Convention. In Bardiya, 56 out of 75 wards have been actively renewed. There was a dispute over raising levies in Bardiya. Congress chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said that the petition from Bardiya would be discussed on April 25.
