Two people were injured in a clash over land disputes at Bateshwor in Dhanusha district. According to police, a clash took place between the two sides over land in Bateshwor Rural Municipality Ward No. 3. After the rural municipality found that the map of 19 acres of land had been cut, the family of Raslal and Sahadev Das had been having a dispute which escalated into a scuffle on July 19.
According to the Bateshwor Police Post, Shyam Sundar Das and Ram Narayan Das were injured in the clash. The injured are undergoing treatment at Janakpurdham-based Provincial Hospital. The injured Shyam Sundar Das lodged a complaint against 40-year-old Ram Kamal Mahato, 32-year-old Surendra Mahato and 27-year-old Dilip Mahato at the District Police Office, Dhanusha. Police arrested Ram Kamal and Surendra on the charge of being involved in the incident.
