Local service recipients are facing problems as the temporary office in Kharakada of Lekam rural municipality has been padlocked for the past two weeks. The locals of Lekam Rural Municipality Ward Nos. 1, 2 and 5 padlocked the office of the municipality since July 30, demanding to provide service from the rural municipality centre Ratamata rather than from the temporary centre Kharakada. Ramesh Joshi, a local, complained that the locals had difficulty in getting services as no one tried to open the locks.
