The municipal basic hospital in Simraungadh Municipality has been vandalized. A victim's family and locals vandalized the hospital on Monday saying that the victim, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy had died due to untimely treatment.
The son of Satish Sah of Mauwahi Tol of Simraungadh Municipality-2 was brought to the basic hospital run by the municipality on Sunday night after being bitten by a snake. Stating that the child's condition was serious, the health workers had recommended to take him elsewhere for further treatment. After the boy's death, angry relatives and villagers vandalized the hospital on Monday morning and beat up municipal employees.
Twelve others, including the municipal police, were injured in the incident. He is also undergoing treatment at Indo Hospital, said Jitendra Yadav, in-charge of Simraungadh Hospital. The enraged villagers have smashed the doors of the municipality and vandalized the windows, pharmacy, lab and computer of the hospital.
