Bardiya: Law practitioners in Bardiya on Sunday staged a sit-in at the district court premises demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JaBaRa. Law practitioners affiliated with the Nepal Bar Association have been protesting against alleged irregularity and corruption in the judiciary, demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice.
Bardiya district Bar Chairman Kashiram Chaudhary warned that the agitation would continue till the resignation of the Chief Justice. "I have to ask for his resignation as Chief Justice JaBaRa has not delivered effective justice," he said. Chairman Kashiram Chaudhary said that the agitation would continue for one hour daily till November 16 as per the central program. Most of the law practitioners had staged a sit-in at the court premises from 10 am to 11 am.
