Police arrested Anrudha Pandey a 50-year-old Hindu priest on the charge of injuring Anmol Paswan a 22-year-old Dalit youth of Simrangadh municipality-2 by pouring hot starch over his body on May 12. The victim alleged that when he went to visit a temple, the accused was cooking rice and the accused accused him of entering his kitchen which was supposedly restricted for Dalit folks. The agitated accused threw hot starchy rice water over the victim's body.
