Police have arrested seven persons on the charges of selling relief materials meant for earthquake survivors. The suspects have been identified as Guna Prasad and Krishna Prasad Chaulagain of Gothapani-9, Indra Lama and Punju Sharma of Dhuseni Shivalaya, driver Prakash Tamang, Surya Bahadur Lama and his son Bijaya of Chubas-7. They were arrested from Chaubas of Koshipari VDC. DSP Raj Kumar KC of the District Police Office, Kave, however, informed that some of them were not found involved in selling relief materials. Hence, preparations are underway to release them, he added. Chief District Officer Sudarshan Dhakal said that stern action would be taken against those found indulged in selling relief materials. Rice and bitten rice meant for earthquake survivors were found in two shops in Chaubas, CDO Dhakal said.
