More than a dozen Police units in Dang have been shifted to their nearest area offices or their local headquarters keeping in view the security sensitivity that has arisen in the aftermath of Kailali incident where 7 policemen were lynched to death by the cadres of Tharuhat Struggle Committee. Police posts at Rihar and Satbariya have been shifted to the Area police office at Amelia. Similarly, police units situated in the highways and marketplaces of Lamahi have been moved to Area police office Lamahi, police posts at Beljhundi, Bijauri, Khadre, Goltakuri, Beluwa and Tulsipur bus park have been shifted to Area police office Tulsipur. Police post at Damargau has been moved to Jaspur police post. Police post at Chiraghat in western Dang, Narti in Deukhuri and those around Ghorahi municipality have been shifted to District Police Office Dang. The police chief of Dang Kuber Kadayat informed that although the police posts in Tharu populated Dang were shifted or regrouped in the light of recent violent activities in Kailali, the police units would be restationed at their previous posts once the situation becomes normal.
