The Federation of Nepal Cable Television has indefinitely suspended Indian television channels from 10:00 am today accusing India of imposing an economic blockade and meddling in internal politics. The decision comes following the meeting of the federation yesterday through which it decided to suspend broadcasting of Indian channels in Nepal from 10 am Today.
President of the federation, Sudhir Parajuli informed that they had decided to suspend the airing of Indian channels against India's recent actions which have supposedly undermined the sovereignty of Nepal. Airing of Indian channels was already suspended a few days ago in Chitwan, Pokhara, and Mahendranagar. Similarly, Netra Bikram Chand led Maoist had also announced a ban against Indian channels in Nepal.
