Government offices in Bara district have been shut down demanding the release of VDC Secretary Ramanand Rauniyaar who was arrested for allegedly assaulting LDO. Nepal Civil Service Employee's Union, Nepal Civil Service Employee's Association, Local bodies Employee's Association, VDC Secretary Welfare Protection Center have shut down the government offices since Tuesday afternoon.

Ashok Rauniyaar, President of Nepal Civil Service Employee's Union, shared that the protest would continue until Rauniyaar was released. VDC Secretary Rauniyaar was arrested in accusation of attacking LDO Narayan Prasad Pandey. CDO of Bara, Krishna Prasad Dhungana informed that since the case has been registered in a court under the Public Offence Act, Rauniyaar cannot be released without the court's decision.
