Federal Alliance announces fresh protest programs

The Federal Alliance, an alliance of Madhesi and ethnic political parties, on Wednesday, announced fresh protest programs. Vice-chairman of Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP), Brikhesh Chandra Lal told Republica Online that the meeting of the alliance this morning unveiled a protest plan for 10 days. As per the protest plan, the alliance will organize corner assemblies at different parts of the Kathmandu Valley. Such assemblies will be held at New Baneshwor, Chabahil, Asan, Basantapur, Balaju and Kalanki among other places in Kathmandu, at Mangalbazaar in Lalitpur and Nyatapol in Bhaktapur. Lal added that protest assemblies will be also organized in Birgunj on May 29 and in Pokhara on May 30.
