The District Court of Dailekh ordered to sentence a 37-years-old man for 22 years in jail on the charges of raping a 12-years-old girl. A single bench of District Court judge Prakash Prasad Pandit has given a verdict on the case on July 4. The court also issued an order in the name of Women and Children Office of Dailekh to provide a compensation amount of Rs 100,000 to the victim. The court also issued such order of compensation in previous cases after it was not possible to get compensation amount from the convict. The victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the police office on November 9, 2015. The accused was arrested and was presented in court by the police.
