Youths have protested against Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Chief Commissioner Lokman Singh Karki outside CIAA office in Tangal. Youths, including students of the Institute of Medicine (IoM), took out a rally from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital to CIAA office in Tangal and have lined up alongside the road. They are protesting CIAA’s interference in the medical education and CIAA statement calling senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC mentally unstable. Dr KC started a hunger strike demanding reforms in the country’s medical sector and is breaking his fast on 16th day today after striking a deal with the government.
