Transportation in Dhangadhi came to a halt today, affecting the normal life of people. As a result, long and short-route vehicles did not ply while people are finding it hard to travel. A clash between Far Western Transport Entrepreneur Committee (FWTEC) and Badimalika Transport Entrepreneur Committee over a dispute led to the transportation disruption. Following the clash that also resulted in one of the transport workers injured, police arrested some office-bearers of the FWTEC in connection with the incident. The FWTEC office-bearers said that they resorted to the transport strike to protest the police suppression over their transport workers.
