Police arrested 20-year-old Durga Chaudhary of Ghorahi Municipality-1 on July 22 on the charges of raping a 30-year-old woman in 2014, August 31. He was arrested almost after two years on the charges of his involvement in a gang rape on a woman. The District Court had acquitted Durga Chaudhary including the other four accused however the victim lodged a complaint at appellate court in 2015, June 22. Duo bench of appellate court judges Kumar Chudal and Sheman Kumar Gautam ordered a sentence  of 10 years in jail on May 25 after finding him guilty. The absconding accused was arrested and presented to the court according to DSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh of DPO Dang. One of the accused among five was sentenced for five years by the court and the other three are still on the run according to the police.
