A marriage that was halted due to dowry, has been conducted under the initiative of Area Police Office of Pokharia. Marriage between Amra Prabin, resident of Mainataar thana, India and Nasim Akhtar, resident of Sabaithawa, Parsa was fixed on July 30 where the girl side gave Rs 90 thousand and 3 Kattha land of Nepal was passed to the boy's family. The boy's family decided to cancel the marriage saying that they did not receive the dowry money on time. The girl's side filed a complaint at Area Police Office of Pokhariya. The boy was taken under the custody by police on August 31, later the boy agreed to get married. The marriage took place on September 2 in Pokharia, Nepal.
