Police have arrested 27 years old Jagadish Singh Dhami of Sandhikharka Municipality-1 of on November 26 on charge of beating two years old daughter on November 25. The locals said that the victim’s father had left his first wife and married another woman. Since then the victim, who is his daughter from his first wife, was deprived of food and beaten by the accused. According to the police inspector Sujan Raj Bhandari of DPO, the accused was arrested for the investigation after knowing that the victim was deprived of food, clothes and was given physical torture by the accused. The victim have a several bruises over her body and she underwent a medical treatment at local medical. The victim’s maternal uncle is looking after her according to the locals. सन्धिखर्क नपा-१ मा अस्थायी बसोवास गर्ने दई वर्षीया नाबालिका रमा धामीलाई मङ्सिर १० गते कुटपिट गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले उनका २७ वर्षीय बावु जगदीशसिंह धामीलाई मङ्सिर ११ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । दार्चुला स्थायी घर भई सन्धिखर्क नपा-१ मा बसोवास गर्ने बावुले पहिलो पत्नी हुदाँहुँदै अर्को विवाह गरेपछि पहिलो पत्नीबाट जन्मेको छोरीलाई खान नदिने, पटक पटक कुटपिट गर्ने गरेको स्थानियबासीले जानकारी दिए । बाबुले पहिलो पत्नीबाट जन्मेको दई वर्षको बच्चालाई खान नदिने, कुटपिट गर्ने, कपडासमेत नदिने गरेको सूचनाको आधारमा पीडित बालिकाको बावुलाई गिरफ्तार गरी अनुसन्धान थालिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका इन्स्पेक्टर सुजनराज भण्डारीले जानकारी दिए । बाबुको कुटपिटबाट बालिकाको शारीरमा सामान्य घाउहरू भएकोले स्थानीयले मेडिकलमा सामान्य उपचार गराएका थिए । पीडित बालिकाको आमाले अर्को विवाह गरी सम्पर्क बाहिर रहेकोले बालिकाको मावली पक्षले स्याहार सुसार गरिरहेको स्थानीयहरूले बताएका छन् ।
