Women in Arghakhachi have protested against the statute amendment proposal by taking out a protest rally carrying batons at district headquarter Sandhikharka. Agitation against the statute amendment proposal in the district has been going on since the past 12 days. CPN-UML's leader Pavitra Paudel said that all the leaders and activists must work together to make Terai and Himalayan region the same place. Congress leader Shanta Bhandari said that country and the citizens are bigger than any political party. अर्घाखाँचीको सन्धिखर्कमा महिलाले लाठी बोकेर प्रदर्शन गरेका छन् । सरकारले पहाडी जिल्लालाई पाँच नम्बर प्रदेशबाट हटाउने प्रस्ताव संसदमा दर्ता गरेको विरोधमा महिला प्रदर्शनमा आएका हुन् । संविधान संशोधन प्रस्ताविरुद्ध अर्घाखाँचीमा १२ दिनदेखि आन्दोलन जारी छ । महिलाहरुको लाठी जुलुस शान्ति बगैंचा, मेन रोड, बसर्पाक, चुत्राबेसी, भक्तिटोला, बैंकरोड हुँदै बगैंचामा पुगेर कोणसभामा परिणत भएको छ । सभालाई सम्बोधन गर्दै एमाले महिला नेतृ पवित्रा पौडेलले सबै नेता तथा कार्यक्रतारु एकजुट भएर पहाड र तराई एक ठाउँ बनाउन लाग्नु पर्ने बताइन् । उनले दलीय अडान भन्दा माथि उठेर देश र जनताको लागि काम गर्नु पर्ने बताइन् । कांग्रेस नेतृ शान्ता भण्डारीले पार्टी भन्दा ठूलो देश र जनता भएकाले जनताको भावनालाई लिएर संशोधन प्रस्तावको विरुद्धमा लागेको बताए।
