Labors of Gorkha Lahari, a cigarette making company of Hetauda Industrial Area have started an agitation against the management since 25 December. The strike began when the discussion between both parties couldn't reach an agreement after their 4-point-agreement was not maintained. Around 125 workers are currently participating in the strike by padlocking the company and halting the production process. Santosh Pudasaini, a member of Gorkha Lahari Labour and Dialogue Committee said that they have demanded for the provision of social security and welfare management and increment in mourn leave. हेटौंडा औधोगिक क्षेत्रभित्र रहेको चुरोट उत्पादन गर्ने कम्पनी गोर्खा लाहरिमा आइततवारबाट मजदुरहरुले हड्ताल सुरु गरेका छन् । उद्योग ब्यवस्थापन पक्षसँग पटक पटक भएको वर्ता विफल भएपछी मजदुरहरुले सामुहिकरुपमा ४ बुदे माग राख्दै हड्ताल सुरु गरेका हुन् । हड्तालको पक्षमा मतदान गरेका १२५ जना मजदुरले आइतबार देखी उद्योगको गेटमा ताल्चा लगाइ उत्पादन ठप्प परेका हुन् । सामाजिक सुरक्षा तथा कल्याण्कारी ब्यवस्था हुनुपर्ने, किरिया, शोक बिदा बढाइनुपर्ने तथा यसअघी ट्रेड युनियनहरुसँग उद्योग प्रशासनले गरेको सम्पूर्ण सहमतिहरुको पालना गरिनुपर्ने माग गरेको गोर्खा लाहरीका मजदुर तथा वार्ता समितिका सदस्य सन्तोष पुडासैनिले बताए ।
