Police have arrested 34-year-old Parshuram Shah of Prasbani VDC-2 and his second wife 19-year-old Asha Kumari on December 29 on charge of polygamy. They were arrested based on the complaint lodged by the victim 27-year-old Kabita Shah on December 28 at District Police Office according to Inspector Narayan Prasad Bhattarai. The accused was married to Kabita as per Hindu culture eight years ago and they did not have any children. She was expelled from the house after she did not give birth to the baby and since then the victim has been displaced at her paternal home in Gamhariya Prabaha VDC-2.
