Two journalists from Panchthar and Ilam have padlocked the central office of Federation of Nepali Journalists and started a fast-unto-death at Sanchargram of Sinamangal, Kathmandu, from today. FNJ Panchthar chapter Chairman Labdeb Dhungana and FNJ Ilam chapter member Prem Adhikari have put forth a charter of demands, including halting the distribution of membership on the basis of party lines. Other demands include action against central representatives Lucky Chaudhary and Khagendra Pant, and a probe into the government employees possessing FNJ membership. Dhungana said he was forced to stage hunger strike as the FNJ centre had failed to approve 21 names selected by the Panchthar chapter unanimously and had tried to add members forcefully. The agitators complained that FNJ Central chair Mahendra Bista, who reached his office after the hunger strike started, showed no interest in addressing their demands. Bista, however, refuted the allegation that the centre had tried to overturn the Panchthar chapter’s decision and urged the agitators to open the padlock. राजनीतिक भागबण्डाको आधारमा सदस्यता वितरण रोक्न माग गर्दै पाँचथर र इलामका पत्रकारहरुले नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघको केन्द्रीय कार्यालयमा तालाबन्दी गरी अनसन सुरु गरेका छन् । सिनामंगलस्थित महासंघको केन्द्रीय कार्यालयको मुल ढोकामा तालाबन्दी गरेर पत्रकारहरु लबदेव ढुंगाना र प्रेम अधिकारी चार बुँदे माग राख्दै अनसन बसेका हुन् । ढुंगाना पाँचथरका र अधिकारी इलामका पत्रकार हुन् । उनीहरुले इलाम र ताप्लेजुङ अधिवेशन विधान विपरित धाँधलीपूर्ण तरिकाले गरिएको दाबी गर्दै त्यसलाई खारेज गरी केन्द्रीय प्रतिनिधिद्वय खगेन्द्र पन्त र लक्की चौधरीलाई कारबाही गर्न माग गरेका छन् । नक्कली विवाद खडा गरी पाँचथर शाखा लगायतमा विधान विपरित शाखा बाहिरबाट केन्द्रमा ल्याइएका नयाँ सदस्यता र नविकरणको कार्य तत्काल फिर्ता गरी विधान बमोजिम नयाँ सदस्यता नविकरण र स्थानान्तरणको अन्तिम टुंगो लगाएपछिमात्र महासंघ जिल्ला र प्रतिष्ठान शाखाको अधिवेशन ६ महिनापछि तोक्नुपर्ने उनीहरुको माग छ । ढुंगाना र अधिकारीले दलीय भागबण्डाको आधारमा सदस्यता वितरण रोक्नुपर्ने, नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघका घोषित जिल्ला तथा प्रतिष्ठान शाखा अधिवेशनहरु तत्काल स्थगित गर्नुपर्ने लगायतका माग राखेका छन् । लामो समयदेखि निष्कृय रहेका राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ता, सरकारी निकायमा स्थायी कर्मचारी र अन्य पेशामा रहेका नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघका साधारण सदस्यहरुको शुद्धीकरण अभियान तत्काल केन्द्रीय समितिबाट सुरु गर्नुपर्ने माग पनि राखिएको छ । नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघको केन्द्रीय अधिवेशन नजिकिँदै गर्दा सदस्यता विवाद चुलिएको छ । यसअघि प्रेस युनियनले पनि बिभिन्न माग राख्दै महासंघको केन्द्रीय कार्यालयमा तालाबन्दी गरेको थियो ।
