Three police personnel were manhandled when they went to arrest an accused with the arrest warrant from District Police Office Mahottari in Laxminiya of Mohattari. According to Jit Bahadur Basnet, Station Chief in Kantibajar, ASI Jit Bahadur Basnet, Constable Shyam Babu Kushwa and Police Personnel Shiva Shankar Mahato were manhandled when they went to arrest Bisheshowr Mahato of Laxminiya 8 and his 9-year-old son Subodh Mahato on March 15. They went to arrest Mahato on the basis of the complaint filed at Police Station on 13 February. About two months back, in the fight between children 3/4 in group while playing in roadside water, Nabin Mahato had his arm broken. When the meeting called to discuss the cost for treatment was ended without decision, the complaint was lodged at police station by the victim. In clash between police under the command of ASI Jit Bahadur Basnet and accused's family, 33-year-old Shiva Kala Devi Mahato Nuniya was injured. According to Budhani Devi Mahato Nuniya, leader of Maiost Centre and former CA member, police suddenly started beating up Shiva Kala while they were about to wrap up the meeting to discuss about the bearing the treatment cost on Tuesday. Shiva Kala having injuries in hands and chest was taken to Janakpur Zonal hospital for treatment after primary care in Gaushala. महोत्तरीको लक्ष्मीनियाँमा अभियुक्तलाई पक्राउ गर्न जाँदा प्रहरीमाथि हातपात भएको छ । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय महोत्तरीबाट प्राप्त पत्रअनुसार अभियुक्तलाई पक्राउ गर्न गएका तीन प्रहरीमाथि हातपात भएको हो । चैत्र २ गते लक्ष्मीनियाँ ८ बस्ने विशेश्वर महतो र उनका ९ वर्षीया छोरा सुवोध महतो नुनियालाई जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा उपस्थित गराउने पत्रअनुसार पक्रउ गर्न गएका ३ जना प्रहरीमाथि हातपात भएको कान्तिबजार प्रहरी चौकीका प्रमुख जित बहादुर बस्नेतले बताएका छन् । स्थानीय असई जितबहादुर बस्नेत, हवल्दार श्यामबाबु कुशवाहा र प्रहरी जवान शिव शंकर महतोमाथि हातपात गरेको असई बस्नेतले बताए । गत फाल्गुन २ गते चौकीमा दर्ता भएको निवेदन सम्बन्धमा गाउँमै छलफल सम्भव नभएपछि जिल्लामा उपस्थित गराउने आदेश भएको पत्र चौकीमा प्राप्त भएपछि सोही अनुसार उनीहरुलाई पक्राउ गर्न जाँदा स्थानीय विशेश्वर महतो र आफन्त महिलाहरुले हातपात गरेको कान्तिबजार प्रहरी चौकीका असई बस्नेतले बताए । करिब दुई महिना अगाडी सडकछेउमा रहेको पानीमा तीन चार जना बालबालिका खेल्ने क्रममा जिउमा पानी पर्दा भएको झगडामा नविन महतो नुनियाको हात भाँचिएको थियो । झगडामा हात भाँचिएपछि उपचारमा लागेको खर्च र सो सम्बन्धमा छलफल गर्न बोलाइएको बैठक निष्कर्षविहिन भएपछि पीडित परिवारले प्रहरीमा उजुरी दर्ता गराएको थियो । यता, कान्तिबजार चौकीका असइ जित बहादुर बस्नेतको नेतृत्वमा गएको टोलीले महतोलाई पक्राउ गर्ने क्रममा आफन्तले हुलहुज्जत गर्न खोजेपछि भएको घटनामा एक महिला घाइते भएकी छिन् । घाइते हुनेमा लक्ष्मीनियाँ ८ की ३३ वर्षीया शिवकला देवी महतो नुनिया रहेकी छिन् । मंगलबार सो विषयमा छलफल गर्न बसेको बैठक सकिनै लाग्दा त्यहाँ आएका प्रहरी टोलीले एक्कासी शिवकलामाथि कुटपिट गरेको पूर्व सभासद एवं माओवादी केन्दका नेतृ बुधनीदेवी महतो नुनियाले बताइन । घाइते शिवकलाको हात र छातीमा चोट लागेकोले गौशालामा प्राथमिक उपचारपछि थप उपचारका लागि जनकपुर अञ्चल अस्पताल लगिएको नेतृ महतोले बताइन ।
