Child marriage has been prevented in Kalikot in support of Area Police Post of Nagma after local child club network demanded to void the child marriage between 14 years old girl and 16 years old boy. The accused has been arrested after the complaint was received on March 29 according to police incharge Gaurab Adhikari. The local child club network had lodged a complaint at police post and the marriage was stopped in support of Police Post of Nagma according to Prakash Shahi ,working for child development. He added that the marriage was stopped in initiation of police. Police said that child marriage has emerged as a problem in the district . They said that the marriage was prevented in support of local child club network. स्थानीय बाल क्लब सञ्जालले १४ वर्षीया बालिका र १६ वर्षीय बालकबिच चैत १६ गते भएको विवाह बदर गर्न र आरोपितलाई कारबाहीको माग गर्दै प्रहरी चौकी नाग्ममा उजुरी दिएपछि प्रहरीको सहयोगमा बालविवाह रोकिएको छ । चैत १६ गते बालबिवाह भएको आरोपमा उजुरी आएपछि आरोपितलाई गिरफ्तार गरिएको प्रहरी चौकी नाग्मका इञ्जार्ज गौरव अधिकारीले बताए । बालविवाह भएको थाहा पाएपछि स्थानीय बाल क्लब सञ्जालले प्रहरी चौकीमा उजुरी दिएको र प्रहरी चौकी नाग्मको पहलकदमीमा भइसकेको बालविवाह ‘रोकिएको’ बाल विकासमा काम गर्दै आएका प्रकाश शाहीले बताए । ‘बालबिवाह भएको थाहा पाएपछि स्थानीय बाल क्लब सञ्जालको सहयोगमा प्रहरीमा उजुरी गरेका थिए ।’-उनले भने-‘प्रहरीको रोहवरमा नै बालविवाह रोकिएको छ ।’ बालविवाह एउटा समस्याका रूपमा नै आएको बालविवाह रोक्न स्थानीयको सहयोगमा बालविवाह रोकिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । ‘हामीले स्थानीय बाल क्लब सञ्जालको सहयोगमा बालविवाह रोकेका छौँ ।’-शाहीले भने-‘बालविवाह रोक्न अहिले गाउँका बालबालिका नै सक्रिय हुन थालेका छन् ।’
