A 25 year old woman has lodged a complaint at Women and Children Service Center on August 16 against her father-in-law accusing him of woman violence. Similarly, another 20 year old woman of Pratappur Paltuwa has lodged a complaint on a same day against her father-in-law for violence. These are all representative incidents. Women are facing various types of sexual abuses especially while living jointly in a camp after the flood last week. Most of the families are living in temple, schools, Masjid and camps after their houses were swept away by the flood. They are facing problem of going toilet and are compelled to use open field. This has lead the victims facing various abuses. More than 80% people are affected by the flood only in Rautahat. There are no confirmed data on how many victims are living under the camps. All roads are disrupted and even police is not being able to reach the victims and there might be more women victimized from such violence according to Chairperson Punam Thakur of Women and Children Service Center. SI Sanjeev Suwal of the center said that more than 10 incidents of women violence are being registered in police office and all of them are from flood affected areas. गरूडा नगरपालिकाकी २५ वर्षीया एक महिलालाई ससुराले कुटपिट गरेको भन्दै पीडितले साउन ३२ गते प्रहरीको महिला तथा बालबालिका सेवा केन्द्र गरूडामा उजुरी दिएकी छिन् । त्यस्तै प्रतापपुर पल्टुवाकी २० वर्षीया एक महिलालाई साउन ३२ गते ससुराले कुटपिट गरेको भन्दै पीडितले सोही दिन उजुरी दिएकी छिन् । यी त प्रतिनिधि घटनाहरू मात्र हुन् । साउन २७ गतेदेखि आएको अविरल वर्षाका कारण पीडित भएकाहरू एउटै स्थानमा आश्रय लिइरहेको अवस्थामा महिलाहरू विभिन्न किसिमका यौन हिंसाबाट पीडित भएका छन् । बाढीले घरबार सबै बगाएका कारण परिवारका सदस्यहरू विद्यालय, मन्दिर, मस्जिद जस्ता शिविरहरूमा आश्रम लिएर बसेका र उनीहरूको लागि सुरक्षित आवासको व्यवस्था नभएका कारण हिंसाबाट पीडित बन्दै आएका छन् । घरबार सबै डुबाएपछि खुल्ला स्थानमा दिशा पिसाव गर्न जानु पर्ने र दिउँसै खुल्ला स्थानमा दिशा पिसाव गर्न गएको भन्दै परिवारका सदस्यहरूबाट कुटपिट र गालीबेइज्जती सहनु परेको पीडित महिलाहरूको गुनासो रहेको छ । बाढीबाट ८० प्रतिशत भन्दा बढी प्रभावित भएको रौतहट जिल्लामा करिव ४ लाख जनसङ्ख्या यसबाट प्रत्यक्ष प्रभावित भएको अवस्थामा बाढी पीडितहरू बसेको शिविरहरूमा कति हिंसा भएका छन् भन्ने एकिन तथ्याङ्क बाहिर आउन सकेको छैन । जिल्लाको सडक सञ्जालहरू सबै भत्किएका र प्रहरी इकाईसम्म पीडितहरू आउन सक्ने अवस्था नभएकाले पनि यस्ता खाले हिंसाका घटनाहरूको सङ्ख्या अझ बढी हुन सक्ने महिला तथा बालबालिका सेवा केन्द्र रौतहट जिल्ला सञ्जालका अध्यक्ष पुनम ठाकुरले बताइन् । प्रहरीको महिला तथा बालबालिका सेवा केन्द्र गरूडामा बाढी पश्चात मात्र १० ओटा घरेलु हिंसाका उजुरी दर्ता भएको सेवा केन्द्रका सई सञ्जिव सुवालले बताए । दर्ता भएका उजुरीहरू सबै बाढी प्रभावित गाविसका रहेको उनले बताए ।
