At least six persons were arrested on charge of brutally raping and murdering a 57-year-old woman in Banepa recently. Organising a press meet today, police made public all the suspects. Superintendent of Police Sahadev Thapa, said preliminary investigation into the case showed that the woman went into coma during brutal rape and died before gaining consciousness. “Detailed investigations are underway,” he added. Police identified the suspects as Raju aka Gopal Pariyar (32) of Bhumlutar Rural Municipality-3; Sadhuram BK (30) of Dhulikhel Municipality-7; Mahes Pariyar (27) of Namobuddha Municipality-7; Sitaram Thapa (32) of Melamchi-14; Prakash Pariyar (24) of Lakhanpur in Ramechhap district; Dil Bahadur Pradhan (33). The suspects have confessed their crime, according to District Police Office Kavrepalanchowk. Police said the half-naked dead body of Nanu Ale Magar was found in a maize field near a brick kiln in Banepa Municipality-8. It has been learned that the one of the suspects had sexual relationship with Magar. Meanwhile, the autopsy report is awaited. काभ्रेको बनेपा नगरपालिका ८ पुण्र्यवती खोला नजिकै मकैबारीमा मंगलबार दिउँसो एक महिलाको शव भेटिएको छ। जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय काभ्र्रेका अनुसार बेवारिसे अवस्थामा मकैबारीमा रहेको शव स्थानीको सूचनाको आधारमा फेला पारेको हो। अन्दाजी ४०/४५ बर्षकी उक्त महिलाको परिचय र ठेगाना भने खुल्न नसकेको ईलाका प्रहरी कार्यालयका प्रहरी नायव निरीक्षक भक्त श्रेष्ठले जानकारी दिए। उनका अनुसार प्रारम्भिक अनुसन्धानका आधारमा महिलाको हत्या भएको हुनसक्ने बताए। ‘हत्या वा आत्महत्या पोष्टमार्टमको रिपोर्ट आएपछि मात्र थाहा हुन्छ।’ मंगलबार बिहान स्थानीले मकैबारीमा शब देखेपछि प्रहरीलाई खवर गरेका थिए। मृतक महिलाको शव नजिकै फुटेका चुरा, गम्सा, पटुका फालिएको अवस्थामा भेटिएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ।
