Locals of Birgunj metropolitan city-16 Nagawa on Saturday took control of a policeman and handed him over to District Police Office Parsa, accusing him of raping a 15-year-old local girl. According to report, the accused, Gorakh Maurya, a policeman deployed at Nagawa Police Post, raped the teenager at around 7:30pm in evening on Saturday while she was alone at home. Locals also beat Maurya before handing him over to the police. SP Sudip Giri of DPO Parsa said that, the accused was being held into custody for investigation and appropriate action would be taken against him if found guilty. वीरगन्ज महानगरपालिका १६ नगवाको नयाँ बस्तीमा एक १५ वर्षीया किशोरी बलात्कारको आरोपमा प्रहरी जवानलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएर जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा बुझाइएको छ । शनिबार साँझ करिब साढे ७ बजेको समयमा युवती एक्लै घरमा भएको अवस्था पारेर नगवा प्रहरी चौकीमा कार्यरत प्रहरी जवान गोरख मौर्यले जबर्जस्ती करणी गरेको भन्दै स्थानीयले नियन्त्रणमा लिएका थिए । उनीहरुले बलात्कार आरोपी प्रहरी जवानलाई कुटपिट गरेका थिए । केही समयको नियन्त्रणपछि जवान मौर्यलाई जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयबाट आएको टोलीलाई जिम्मा लगाएको स्थानीय अब्दुल हुसेनले बताए । पर्साका एसपी सुदीप गिरीका अनुसार प्रहरी जवान मौर्यलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिई थप अनुसन्धान अघि बढाइएको छ । दोषी देखिएमा कानुनबमोजिम कारबाही गरिने उनले बताए ।
