The District Police Office (DPO) of Banke has arrested 48 years old professor Rabi Raj Sharma of Mahendra Multiple Campus on September 4 on charge of molesting 21 years old girl. The active students union of the campus had demonstrated and protested against the professor after the victim informed about the abuse to the union. The police denied of registering complaint however later it registered after the tremendous pressure. The accused was out of contact however he was arrested by the police on September 4. The agitated students have demanded for the departmental action against the professor and padlocked the campus for indefinite period of time according to leader C.P Devkota. २१ वर्षीया युवतीलाई यौन दुर्व्यवहार गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले महेन्द्र बहुमूखी क्याम्पस नेपालगञ्जका प्राध्यापक ४८ वर्षीय रविराज शर्मालाई भदौ १९ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । पीडित युवतीलाई भदौ १२ गते यौन दुर्व्यवहार गरेको भन्दै पीडितले बताएपछि क्याम्पसमा क्रियाशील विद्यार्थी सङ्गठनले विरोध जनाउदै घटनाका आरोपितलाई कारबाहीको माग गरेका थिए । प्रहरीले उजुरी लिन नमानेपछि विद्यार्थी सङ्गठन र महिला अधिकारकर्मीहरूले चौतर्फी विरोध गरेपछि भदौ १५ गते प्रहरीले उजुरी दर्ता गरेको थियो । प्रहरीले आरोपित सम्पर्कविहीन भएको जनाउँदै आएको भएपनि भदौ १९ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । महेन्द्र बहुमूखी क्याम्पसका विद्यार्थीहरूले आरोपित प्रध्यापकलाई विभागिय कारबाहीको माग गर्दै भदौ १९ गतेदेखि अनिश्चितकालीन तालाबन्दी गरेको नेपाल विद्यार्थी सङ्घ महेन्द्र बहुमूखी क्याम्पसका विद्यार्थी नेता सिपी देवकोटाले बताए ।
