Police have arrested four men for the gang rape of a 16-year-old adolescent girl in Janakpur. The incident took place on October 26, however, it came into light recently after the victim filed complaint at District Police Office, Dhanusha, following blackmail from the rapists, police said. According to a complaint filed by the victim, four men forcefully picked her from Chhath Ghat on the night of October 26 and moved her to a secluded place where they took turns to rape and sexually abuse her. According to the victim, the men who were all drunk raped her by covering her mouth. The accused identified as Manish Kumar Mandal, Raju Mandal, Gudu Mandal and Sunil Mandal—all aged between 18 and 20—are from Janakpur Sub-metropolis. Police have been continuing investigation into the case by extending their judicial remand from the district court, said SP Chakra Bahadur Singh. It is learnt that the victim remained mum for a long period as the perpetrators had threatened to kill her if she revealed the incidenet to anyone. सामूहिक बलात्कार आरोपमा जनकपुरमा ४ जनालाई प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको छ । किशोरीको मुख बाँधेर नहरमा लगी बलात्कार गरेका आरोपितलाई धनुषा प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको हो । घटनाको लामो समयपछि प्रहरीमा पीडितले उजुरी गरेपछि जनकपुर उपमहानगरपालिका १८ स्थित छठघाटमा बसिरहेकी १६ वर्षीया किशोरीलाई सामूहिक बलात्कार गरेको सार्वजनिक भएको हो । पीडितको उजुरीका अधारमा आरोपीलाई पक्राउ गरी अनुसन्धान भइरहेको जिल्ला प्रहरीका उपरीक्षक चक्रबहादुर सिंहले बताए । कात्तिक ९ गते राति ११ बजे छठघाटमा बसेकी किशोरीलाई मदिरा सेवना गरेका ४ युवाले मुख थुनेर जलाशयबाट एकान्तमा लगी बलात्कार गरेका थिए । सामूहिक बलात्कार आरोपमा जनकपुर उपमहानगर १८ का मनीषकुमार मण्डल, राजु मण्डल, गुडु मण्डल र सुनिल मण्डललाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको हो ।
