Birgunj folks, who were demonstrating demanding Birgunj as provisional provincial capital of Province 2, showed black flag to the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav in Parsa today. The leaders and loyalists of the struggle committee showed the black flag to Yadav while he was trying to enter the meeting hall of Birgunj Metropolitan city. They also tried to obstruct Yadav from reaching the hall by burning tyres along the road. Earlier, the struggle committee had decided to obstruct leaders who didn’t cooperate in declaring Birgunj the provincial capital from entering Birgunj. However, Yadav reached the venue using an alternative route. Meanwhile, the first municipal meeting of the metropolis made public an estimated budget of 4.22 billion rupees for the fiscal 2018/19, plans and policy. Birgunj Metropolis Mayor Bijaya Sarawagi had made it public at the meeting. Empowerment through social inclusion, poverty alleviation, extension of access to fundamental health services, extension of local infrastructure, good governance, transparency and accountability among others, have been included in the policy and programme. संघीय समाजवादी फोरम नेपालका अध्यक्ष उपेन्द्र यादवको विरोधमा वीरगञ्जमा प्रदर्शन गरिएको छ । प्रादेशिक राजधानीको माग गर्दै आन्दोलनमा रहेको संघर्ष समितिले कालो झण्डा सहित टायर बालेर यादवको विरोधमा नाराबजी गर्दै प्रदर्शन गरेका हुन् । संघर्ष समितिका सह संयोजक एवं पूर्व सांसद राजकुमार गुप्ता नेतृत्वमा रहेका प्रदर्शनकारीहरुले वीरगञ्जलाई प्रदेश राजधानी बनाउन असहयोग गरेका कारण उपेन्द्र यादवको विरोध गर्नुपरेको बताएका छन् । संघर्ष समितिको शनिबार बसेको बैठकले वीरगञ्जलाई प्रादेशिक राजधानी बनाउन असहयोग गर्ने नेताहरुलाई वीरगञ्ज प्रवेश निषेध गर्ने निर्णय गरेको थियो । नेता यादवको विरोधमा नाराबाजी गर्दै घण्टाघरमा प्रदर्शन भएपनि नेता यादव भने अर्को बाटो हुँदै नगरसभा स्थल ‘टाउन हल’ पुगेर नगरसभाको उद्घाटन गरेका छन् ।
