Police are searching for a forty-year-old man accused of raping a mentally-disabled 13-year-old girl at Talkot Rural Municipality in Bajhang. According to the police, the incident took place on June 17 at 4pm when the man, who was in an inebriated state, raped the girl at her cowshed. Locals, working at the nearby fields, found about the incident after the victim ran shouting from the cowshed. The incident came to light only after few days as the place of incident is far from the nearest police station. The accused has been absconding and a search is underway to nab him. The victim has been taken to Bajhang District Hospital for medical checkup and a case has been registered against the accused on Tuesday, informed District Police Office, Bajhang DSP Rishiram Kunwar.
