Four ward chairmen and 16 executive committee members of of Nagarain Municipality who are affiliated to newly formed Nepal Communist Party (NCP) padlocked the Office of Nagarain Municipality, Dhanusha protesting the Mayor and other executive members attempt to change the name of Nagarain Municipality to Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Municipality in the name of late Nepali Congress leader. Chairman of ward no. 4 of NCP also accused that the Mayor collected his signature in illegal manner for the decision of changing the name of municipality. The protesting members and ward chairmen said there are several organizations in the name of Mahendra Narayan Nidhi so its better to change the name of municipality in the Martyrs like Durgananda Jha and other martyrs. धनुषाको नगराइन नगरपालिका कार्यालयमा तालाबन्दी गरिएको छ । नगर्राइन नगरपालिकाको नं परिबर्तन गरि नेपाली कांग्रेसका नेता बिमलेन्द निधिका बुबा महेन्द्र नारायण निधिको नाममा नामकरण गर्न लागिएको बिरोधमा ४ जना वडाध्यक्ष सहित १६ जना कार्यपालिका सदस्यहरुले नगरपालिकाको मूल गेटमा तालाबन्दी गरेका हुन्। शुक्रबार नगरपालिकाको कर्यपरिसरमा पत्रकार सम्मेलन गर्दै वडा नं ४ का अध्यक्ष अमिरी लाल राउतले भत्ता बुझ्ने भन्दै सहीछाप गराएर नगरपालिकाको नाम परिबर्तन गर्ने कागजमा सहिछाप गराएको बताए । नेकपा निकट तालाबन्दी गर्ने वडाध्यक्ष लगायत सदस्यहरुले महेन्द्र नारायण निधिका नाममा धेरै संघसंस्था रहेकाले नं परिबर्तन गर्नुपरे नगराइनकै अर्का सहिद दुर्गानन्द झाको नाममा नगरपालिकाको नाम परिबर्तन गर्नुपर्ने बताए ।
