A woman was found dead with her throat slit at Balirampur in Kalaiya Sub-metropolis, Bara, on Sunday. Siyapati Dhobini of Kalaiya-13 was found dead at her sugarcane field near the Pasaha river, said police. A mother of four, Siyapati had been missing since Saturday. Her family said she had gone to collect grass, but did not return home. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ranjit Singh Rathour, Siyapati’s body was discovered by some villagers on Sunday. “Her throat had been cut with a sharp-edged weapon,” said DSP Rathour, adding that there were no indications of rape. Police have opened a murder investigation based on the wound sustained by Siyapati. No arrests had been made as of late Sunday afternoon. Siyapati’s husband Rambalak Baitha is out of the country for employment. She had been living with her son and three daughters. DSP Rathour said Siyapati’s body was collected and taken to the District Hospital in Kalaiya for post-mortem. Murder cases have increased in Bara district in the last few years. As per the records at the District Police Office, 79 people were murdered in the last fiscal year, 55 people the year before. Since July 17, the beginning of the current fiscal year, 17 people have been murdered in the district. बारामा घाटी रेटी हत्या गरेको अवस्थामा एक महिलाको शव फेला परेको छ। घाटी रेटी हत्या गरेको अवस्थामा कलैया उपमहानगरपालिका–१३ बलिरामपुरकी सियापति धोबिनको शव फेला परेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बाराले जनाएको छ। शनिबार बेलुका पसाहा खोला नजिकै रहेको खेतमा काम गर्न जाँदा उनी बेपता भएकी थिइन्। खेतमा काम गर्न गएकी धोविन राती घर नफर्केपछि परिवारका सदस्यहरुले उनको निकै खोजि गरेपिन कुनै पत्ताे नलागेकाेमा आइतबार विहानै खोज्न जाँदा हत्या गरेर पसाहा खोला नजिकै रहेको उखु खेतमा शव फालिएको अवस्थामा फेला पारेकाे स्थानीय राजेश मेहताले बताए। सियापतिका तीन छोरी एक छोरा छन् भने उनका श्रीमान खेती मजदुरी गर्दै आएका छन्। बाराकी प्रहरी उपरिक्षक मिरा चौधरीले उनको घाटी रेटेर हत्या गरिएको बताउँदै घटनाको अनुसन्धान थालिएको बताइन्।
