A person was killed after being accidently shot by his neighbour while trying drive away monkeys from the latter's apple orchard at Ripa of Sarkegaad rural municipality-2 in Humla on Friday. According to the police, 28-year-old Surendra Karki of Ripa succumbed to bullet injuries after being shot by Rangamal Mahatara, 40, to drive away monkeys at the latter's apple orchard. Karki died on the way to a local health post. The gunshot hit Karki who happened to be there grazing his cattle, informed police. Mahatara has been arrested and he has been brought to the District Police Office at Simkot for necessary action, police said.
