Police have arrested 35-year-old Mohammad Isharaful Miya of Sukhipur municipality-2, an accused perpetrator of a gang-rape incident on November 16.
Family members of a 26-year-old local woman had lodged a complaint against 4 persons including Miya on November 15 at Area Police Office Maheshpur Patari saying that they raped the woman on November 13. The victim underwent medical examination at BP Koirala institute of medical sciences in Dharan on November 15.
According to Inspector Ravibhushan Yadav of Area Police Office, Maheshpur Pataari, police arrested one of the accused on November 15 and another one on November 16. Two of the accused rapists still remain on the large and police are searching for them informed the inspector.
