A teenager from Chepang community was thrashed and attempted rape by two unidentified youths while another minor was harshly beaten at Kanda of Rapti Municipality-13 in Chitwan district on Sunday noon.
According to the Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Bhandara, Basanta Acharya, a 17-year-old Chepang girl was attempted rape after beating her black and blue while another 10-year-old was harshly beaten in a remote place of the district.
The 10-year-old victim was receiving treatment at Bharatpur Hospital as she was suffering from blood clot in her brain. Inspector Acharya shared that she had to be given eight stitches in her head.
Medical examination of the girl attempted rape was under progress. Therefore police have not been able to ascertain whether the teenager was raped or attempted to rape.
The girls were returning home from the market area in bordering Dhading district while the unidentified youths had chased them in a forest area and had taken them under their control.
The youths absconded following the felony. Police were searching for the offenders.
