22-year-old Roshana Khatun of Duhabi-2 has been banished from her home for giving birth to a girl child.
Khatun married Kurman Miya three years ago. According to the victim's father, Salim Miya, Khatun was abused mentally and physically for giving birth to two girls and was later banished from the house.
The victim's father also mentioned that he had given all materials and cash asked by the groom's family.
The victim disclosed that after marriage, she was assaulted because of insufficient dowry and after giving birth to her second daughter, she was beaten with a stick and banished from the house on the night of January 26.
The victim with her father has reached Duhabi Police Office seeking justice. However, police responded saying that they'd call the accused and facilitate discussion between the two parties.
Khatun's older daughter is 14-month-old and the younger one is 2-month-old.
