34-year-old, Bishnu Devi Yadav of LaxmiPur Patari-2 Rural Municipality requested activists on March 3 to initiate justice for her. Ward Chairperson Rambalav Shah of Laxmipur Patari Rural Municipality-2 allegedly beat her on February 28.
According to the victim, she had gone to ask for justice about the theft in her shop when the chairperson and his assistant beat her.
Yadav, who was injured in the beating, has been treated at Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Memorial Hospital, Lahan.
Chairperson Shah said that Bishnu started shouting when he told her discussion cannot be done on holiday, so he only sent her out but did not beat her.
According to the Inspector Krishna Shrestha of Area Police Office, Maheshpur Patari, the victim has filed an application fon March 1 and a letter has been written to Health Office for examination.
