Daily lives of Palpa residents were affected due to the indefinite banda enforced by the business community on Saturday. The Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry called the strike, demanding authorities to release the three entrepreneurs arrested by police on Friday. Vehicular movement came to a halt, while market places and factories remained closed. Police arrested Shailendra Bhattarai, vice-chairman of Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and two entrepreneurs, Laxman Regmi and Baburam Bista, for their alleged involvement in manhandling journalist Bijaya Baudel on Friday.
