The temporary teachers who failed in the Teacher Services Commission exams have staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on Friday demanding not to be ousted from service. They demonstrated from Bhadrakali in Kathmandu to New Baneshwor. The government had amended a section of Education Act to make it compulsory for failing teachers to retire. Thirteen thousand teachers were unable to pass the exam.
