70-year-old Gorikala Bhandari of Simkot rural municipality-2 Thehe lodged a complaint of domestic violence against her nephew Rajendra Bhandari, 18, at the Woman and Children's shell of District Police Office Humla accusing him of beating her.
In the complaint filed with the support of Insec, Bhandari stated that Rajendra had been repeatedly beating her. Last year she sustained injury on her eye in an attack from Rajendra. Although she filed complaint about the attack at ward office, no action was taken against him.
