Police arrested two women for allegedly manhandling the Chief Administrative Officer of Rajpur Municipality.
Police arrested Ambiya Khatun and Sonapati Sah of Gaur Municipality-4, on the charge of manhandling of Govinda Sigdel, Chief Administrative Officer of Rajpur Municipality.
Administrative Officer Sigdel accused the women, who had come to inquire about the money allocated for women, of assaulting him. He claims to have been systematically attacked for his removal.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Rautahat, DSP Nabin Karki, said that after the complaint of the administrative officer, the women were taken under control and investigation is underway. He said other people were also involved in the incident and search for them is going on.
