Police on June 15 arrested 13-year-old boy on the charge of raping a 5-year-old girl on June 8.

The mother of the victim took her to Dharmeshwar Hospital at Kanchanarup Municipality-11 for treatment after the victim complained of stomach-ache. During the check-up doctors suspected the girl had been raped which later turned out to be true.

According to DSP Makendra Kumar Mishra of the Area Police Office, Kanchanrup, who reached the hospital immediately after receiving the news, the victim's medical examination was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh hospital in Rajbiraj on June 10.

Police arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with the incident of the rape following the complaint by the victim's family. DSP Mishra said they are further investigating on the incident.
