Employees Union padlock NEA against transfer

Employees of NEA (Nepal Electricity Authority) have resorted to padlocking protesting against the decision of NEA few days ago to transfer 1574 employees.

Nepal Electricity Authority National Employees Union  padlocked the office of Dolanath Kandel, Chief of Administration Division and Jamuna Khadka, Chief of Staff Administration Branch.

The employees union which padlocked the NEA offices is close to ruling party CPN. The union padlocked the offices saying the transfers were not according to their recommendation.

Kulman Ghising, the executive director of NEA has transferred a large number of employees for the second time since he joined the office as executive director.
