Students and administration of Balmiki Bidhyapith College, situated in Pradarshani marg, staged a protest on Sunday demanding the garbage piling in front of the college to be cleared.
The students resorted to protest after their request to clear the garbage was not addressed by Kathmandu Metropolitan office. Campus Chief Ganesh Prasad Ghimire said that they were compelled to protest because the garbage piled at the college gate is spreading stench and it has affected the class. He added that they had requested the metropolitan office to clear the garbage but their pleas were unheard.
