According to DSP Mahendra Kumar Shrestha of District Police Office Jhapa, a 6-year-old girl was raped by a 16-year-old boy at Haldibari-3 of Jhapa on Thursday evening. According to Police, a complaint was filed by the victim’s family when the girl reached home crying after the incident. It was found that the girl was repeatedly raped by the boy.

The accused allegedly took the child to the cornfield and raped her. The victim has been admitted to Mechi Hospital for treatment.

According to the police, search for the accused is underway.
