Police have arrested Amit Bastola, head of the Nepal-Bangladesh Bank branch office in Dhanpaalathan Rural Municipality-4 in Morang.
Bastola is accused of raping a client, who had come to the bank for loan, at a hotel on April 5. The woman was seeking a loan from the bank, whereby Amit had told the women that he would approve of loan in exchange of sexual favor. According to the woman, she had resisted his advances but he had forcibly raped her in the hotel.
