Gobinda Bahadur Khadka, 48-year-old ward chairperson of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-2 has been accused of beating 30-year-old Santosh Paudel, principal of Arundaya Secondary School on June 19.

National Teacher's Association of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality informed through a press release that, during the discussion of The Village level President's Running Shield Competition at Jhateshwor Secondary School of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural municipality, Paudel was beaten and abused by Khadka who is also the Chairman of that School Management Committee.

A statement issued by Chairman Ganga Karki and Secretary Sambaraj Puri on behalf of the Village Working Committee demanded the creation of a safe working environment for teachers.
