Police, on July 14, arrested seven persons from the Bikas Hotel and Royal Palace at Dhanagadhi Sub-Municipality on the charge of forcing four work-seeking girls into prostitution. Police arrested 24-year-old Akshay Rana, the manager of Bikas Hotel in Belauri-2 of Kanchanpur, and Sant Bahadur Thapa, the manager of Hotel Royal Palace, in response to the verbal complaint filed by the victims.
Police arrested 24-year-old Milind Tyagi and 22-year-old Biswadip Bach Tyagi of Uttar Pradesh; 26-year-old Abhishek Sinsinwa of Krishnanagar Bharatpur; and 28-year-old Shadanand Rana and 36-year-old Ransharan Rana of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis-2. DSP Daksha Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office, Kailali said that the District Police Office has registered a case of human trafficking.
The victims underwent a health check-up in Seti Zonal Hospital on July15.
